This is now the most watched Youtube video of all time
It’s official – Psy’s viral hit Gangnam Style is no longer the most watched video on Youtube.
After its release in 2012, Gangnam Style became the first video on YouTube to reach 1 billion views.
But now it’s been overtaken by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s hit See You Again.
Having held the record for five years, See You Again stole the top spot from Gangnam Style this week, reaching a massive 2.900 billion views.

It’s now officially the most-viewed video on Youtube of all time, trumping Gangnam Style’s impressive count of 2.896 billion, thanks to it’s tie-in to the 2015 film Furious7 – part of the hugely commercially successful Fast and Furious franchise.
See You Again was written as a tribute to actor Paul Walker, who died in November 2013, in a car crash.
They were halfway through filming for the seventh instalment and so the song was included in the movie soundtrack.
GangnamStyle skyrocketed to fame within months of its release on July 15, 2012 and forced the Youtube to upgrade its counter limits.
The question now is, how long can it hold on to the crown?
Luis Fonsi’s Despacito ft. Daddy Yankee, for example, looks set to potentially catch up, with the video already having 2.5 billion views in just six months.
