Meghan Markle 'snubbed' Serena's baby shower

She’s reported to be welcoming her baby at the end of August and over the weekend Serena Williams made sure to celebrate the imminent arrival in style.

In fact, she transported her famous friends back to the ‘50’s in a Grease-inspired baby shower fit for the Queen of tennis at Nick's 50's Diner at West Palm Beach.

Polka dots frocks, massive skirts and white frilly socks were all on display at Serena’s big day – which was attended by Eva Longoria, Ciara, Kelly Rowland and of course, the guest of honour’s sister, Venus.

However Meghan Markle - who is one of Serena's very close friends - apparently decided to skip the baby shower to go watch Prince Harry play a polo match in the UK instead.

“Meghan had been planning to go to Miami this weekend for Serena’s shower," a source told The Sun.

"The girls are really close and Serena was looking forward to seeing her.

"But at the last minute Meg bailed and went to see Harry in the UK instead."

The stars took to their Instagram accounts to post pictures from the epic day, including Serena herself, who captioned a gallery online: “When you and your crew go so far back to the 50's. Even then they had your back. @evalongoria @ciara@lala @kellyrowland @angiebeyince#shakerattleandroll2017 #babyO”

Most of the photos show the stunfners posing in their costumes in front of a shiny red truck with the hood up.

Serena was glowing in a bright yellow skirt and a black crop top, all while cradling her precious bump in one of the snaps.

She matched her slick, Grease-style outfit with a pair of black and white trainers, white socks and a red hair tie.

Eva Longoria, who has been friends with the tennis ace for years, looked cute as a button in a Minnie Mouse-inspired get-up.

She wore a red and white polka dot dress, cinched in at the wasit with a black belt and swept her hair away from her face, securing her ponytail with a large red bow.

Kelly Rowland showed off her epic figure in a black and white polka dot crop top and a white tulle skirt.

She let her stunning curls hang loose and added a headscarf to match the others.

Singer Ciara went all out glam ‘50’s with her ensemble, wearing a grey skirt with a cute pink dog symbol and a crisp white shirt.

Venus Williams went for an all-out glam ‘50’s outfit, matching a black and white polka dot dress with a red wide-brimmed hat and a par of killer red heels.

Serena and her fiancé, Alexis Ohanian, are reportedly set to welcome the bundle of joy at the end of August or the beginning of September.

Alexis was also at the baby shower, posting a Boomerang to Instagram of him and his wife-to-be alongside the caption: "Preparing for our biggest project yet."
