Trump jokes he would have tested Diana for HIV in 90s interview

Just months after her death, Donald Trump appeared on Howard Stern’s radio show and spoke about the posibility of having sex with Princess Diana.

In newly emerged audio leaked by website Factba.se, the now-US President can be heard agreeing that he could have "nailed" the late mother-of-two.

He went on to comment on her physical appearance in the November 1997 interview, and joke that he would have tested her for HIV.

"Why do people think it’s egotistical of you to say you could’ve gotten with Lady Di? You could’ve gotten her, right? You could’ve nailed her," Stern asked, prompting Trump to reply, "I think I could have."

Imagining a scene between Trump and Diana, Stern went on to say, “Hey Lady Di, would you go to the doctor?”

“Go back over to my Lexington Avenue doctor,” Trump joked, as though he was talking to the late royal, “We wanna give you a little checkup.”

The pair had previously joked that Trump would test women for HIV before sleeping with them.

When asked about Diana's beauty in the same interview, Trump said, "She had times, you know, it was interesting, she had times when she didn't look great, and sometimes you look better than anybody in the world. But she was supermodel."

The audio has emerged after broadcaster Selina Scott claimed that Trump was besotted with the princess and “bombarded her with flowers”.

Speaking to the Sunday Times back in 2015, Scott claimed the real estate mogul actively pursued a relationship with Diana after her marriage with Prince Charles broke down.

“Trump clearly saw Diana as the ultimate trophy wife,” she said.

“As the roses and orchids piled up at her apartment she became increasingly concerned about what she should do."

In another Howard Stern interview in 2000, Trump repeated his claim that he would have slept with Diana, "without even hesitation", before calling her “crazy”.

“Lady Di was truly a woman with great beauty,” he said, “She was super model beautiful; she had the height, she had the beauty, she had the skin, the whole thing.”

“She was crazy, but you know these are minor details.”

Diana was killed in a horror car crash alongside her then boyfriend Dodi Al-Fayed in August 1997.
