“The President, Barron, and I are very excited for our first Christmas in the White House,” the First Lady said in a statement.

“As with many families across the country, holiday traditions are very important to us. I hope when visiting the People’s House this year, visitors will get a sense of being home for the holidays.”

Melania chose the theme of “Time-Honoured Traditions” when it came to her decorations, which included a tree tribute to US service members and a 135 kilogram gingerbread house.

For those who might be visiting the States this holiday season, you can actually take a tour of the decorations, with a cartoon version of Melania and Donald’s son Barron as a guide.
