Meghan ‘dumped’ boyfriend of two years for Harry

If there’s anyone who’s ever going to make you re-think your romance, it’s a prince.

Which is exactly what happened with Meghan Markle, following reports she was actually dating celebrity chef Cory Vitiello when she met Prince Harry – but quickly and quietly split with him soon after.

Clearly one of those girls who has all the luck, Meghan had chalked up two years with the tall, dark and handsome celebrity chef.

However a chance meeting with Prince Harry while he was in Canada to promote the Invictus Games in May 2016 changed all that.

Sparks flew, and Harry is rumoured to have asked the Suits star for her phone number that month – right around the time Meghan called time on her romance with Cory.

At the time, a source close to Cory refused to reveal whether Meghan’s new friendship with Prince Harry had anything to do with the split, saying: “I can’t comment on that.”

However it's claimed Harry bombarded the star with messages until she agreed to meet with him.

"He definitely pursued her and besieged her with texts until she agreed to a date," a source told the DailyMail. "He [was] very full-on but she was going through quite a tough time with her previous boyfriend and she was very flattered."

Fast forward a few months to August, and Prince Harry and Meghan were hot and heavy, determined to enjoy their romance on the down low until the royal went public in November with a protective statement demanding the world back off his new girlfriend.

Meghan’s love history could be about to get lots more air time with news a UK series called 'Meet the Markles' is set to hit TV screens later this year.

“Meghan is a hot topic right now and everyone is interested in her,” a source told The Sun.
“Channel 4 are going to go deeper into her past than anyone before. They want to discover new things about her family. It could be dramatic.”
