Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love nest revealed
It’s the place where Prince Harry got on one knee and popped the question to Meghan Markle while they were cooking dinner, and the interior of Nottingham Cottage has now been revealed.
Affectionately known as “Nott Cott” and located in Kensington Palace, Harry has been living in the two-bedroom cottage since 2013 – and it’s been confirmed the former Suits actress will be joining him.
With Prince William and Kate Middleton living in the cottage for a few years when they first tied the knot, the home is said to be pretty cosy.
Containing two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, two reception rooms and small yard, the cottage’s ceilings are reportedly so low, the Duke of Cambridge had to duck his head to avoid hitting it.
The surprising reason behind Harry and Meghan’s rushed wedding
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: A timeline of their royal relationship
Meghan has been a frequent visitor to Harry’s pad from her Toronto home where she was based filming her hit show Suits, with the couple admitting they never spent more than a few days apart.
"I think we were able to really have so much time just to connect and we never went longer than two weeks without seeing each other, even though we were obviously doing a long-distance relationship," said Harry in a BBC interview.
And while Kate gave the home a lick of paint during her stint there, there’s speculation with Meghan calling Nottingham Cottage home at least until the couple’s spring wedding, she might do a little bit of a home makeover to fit in with her monochrome minimalist décor.
