Celebs react to royal engagement
It's the news that has the world excited for another royal wedding and now celebs have flocked to social media to congratulate newly engaged couple Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle.
Despite being caught up in a web of engagement and pregnancy rumours herself, reality star Khloé Kardashian took to Twitter to send her best wishes to the couple across the pond, while model Chrissy Teigen said that she too was "invested" in the news.
Meanwhile Meghan's co-stars from the hit legal drama Suits also sent their congratulations, with Wendell Pierce, who plays the 36-year-old's TV father Robert Zane, joked Harry had his "blessing".
"Congratulations to my TV daughter Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on the news of their wedding engagement. Harry you have her TV Father’s blessing. Robert Zane approves," he tweeted.
Meghan's Suits love interest Patrick J. Adams also joked suggesting the Prince had swooped in and stolen his lady, saying his TV partner had told him "she was just going out to get some milk..."
Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis tweeted shortly after the news was announced writing: "Congratulations to Prince Harry on his engagement. I met him once, years ago, and his brother who, as I understand, is also one of the head honchos down there.... P.S. Yanks make pretty decent fiancées tbf."
Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda added that the happy news had everyone in London "dancing in the streets".
"It's crazy, everyone is dancing in the streets here! (Everyone is politely keeping to themselves, but you can tell they wanna dance)," he tweeted alongside a emoji of a British flag.
Prince Harry and Meghan announced their engagement on Monday night (Australian time) after being set up on a blind date 18 months ago.
