MAFS' Sean: 'There were warning signs with Tracey'

If you had somehow forgotten all about the ongoing Married At First Sight drama, then never fear, we have an update for you.

MAFS ‘spinoff’ couple Sean Thomsen and Tracey Jewel unfortunately called it quits earlier this month, but the drama continues with Sean revealing he saw some serious red flags early on.

“If I think back, there were probably warning signs when the reunion episode went to air,” Sean said in an interview with Woman’s Day.

The 35-year-old admitted that before the show the two had made a pact to ‘have each other’s backs’, but he was concerned by the text messages Tracey had sent to Dean.

“It made me furious. She said it was to make him [Dean] jealous, but why would you want to make an ex jealous while you’re in a committed relationship?”

Sean confessed to the mag that he and Tracey argued a lot and was happy to not be in a relationship with her anymore.

“I’m free and there are no dramas in my life anymore,” he said.

Earlier this week, some text messages between Dean and Tracey were ‘leaked’.

In the texts, Tracey ‘begs’ Dean to take her back for a ‘second chance’, to which he politely declines.

In an interview with Hit Far North Queensland’s Shad & Carly, the 35-year-old was asked about her relationship with Dean.

“No, that’s all media hype!” Tracey told the co-hosts. “I do have a soft spot for Dean. We went through a lot together but we’re not right for each other so we’re good friends.”

Defending her texting mishap, she said later on, “‘don’t you just hate drunken texts, they bite you back on the bum every time!”

According to Tracey, the texts were sent in December, in the early stages of her relationship with Sean…

“We all have moments of weakness…I’m not perfect,” she said.

So who leaked the texts? According to Tracey it wasn’t Dean…even though they were sent to his phone…
