Meghan Markle is 'terrified' of royal life, according to her worried father
Thomas Markle has spoken out in yet another interview, claiming his daughter Meghan Markle is ‘terrified’ of her new royal life.
The 73-year-old former Hollywood lighting technician was worried there was too much pressure being put on his daughter but admitted he had lost contact with her.
“My thing about my daughter right now is that I think she is terrified,” Thomas told The Sun.
“I see it in her eyes, I see it in her face and I see it in her smile. I’ve seen her smile for years. I know her smile. I don’t like the one I’m seeing now.”
Thomas said he has not spoken to Meghan, now the Duchess of Sussex, since her wedding to Prince Harry.
It’s believed the royal family wasn’t impressed after his staged paparazzi pictures and a controversial interview with Good Morning Britain. He came under fire for speaking to the media, despite being asked by Harry and Meghan not to talk to the press.
“There’s a high price to pay to be married to that family,” he told the publication.
How he said the phone number he was given for his daughter no longer works, no one from the palace is returning his calls and he doesn’t have an address so he can write to his daughter.
It is the longest Thomas has gone without speaking to Meghan he claims and just wants her to reach out.
His message to her would be that “I’m sorry for anything that went wrong”.
Thomas also claimed this was his ‘last interview’ and he just wanted to set the record straight and reach out to his daughter.
