Why Meghan Markle won't have a Maid of Honour at royal wedding

It’s recently been confirmed that Meghan Markle will be walked down the aisle by her dad during her upcoming wedding to Prince Harry.

But while she’s keeping with customs as she waltzes down the aisle, it seems the 36-year-old will be shunning the tradition of having a maid of honour for her big day.

Press Secretary Jason Knauf announced that Harry’s wife-to-be will definitely not have a Maid of Honour because she “has a very close-knit circle of friends and she didn’t want to choose one over another”.

It had been speculated that her friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney was a favourite for the role, or that Kate Middleton might be given the prestigious gig.

Before you get super disappointed though, the palace aide did confirm that will be flower girls and page boys, which are thought to include Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who just turned three.

The news follows the exciting revelation that Meghan’s dad will be involved in the service and that the couple are postponing their honeymoon so they can attend their first royal engagement as a married couple.

Details of Meghan’s Australian dress designer has also emerged, as well as details saying the former Suits star “cried” when she saw her gown.

WE CAN’T DEAL. Hurry up May 19.
