Meghan's brother claims she's 'phoney' and 'not genuine like Diana'
It’s just 17 days until the royal wedding, and Meghan Markle’s estranged family are making sure they’re letting everyone know how disgusted they are that they weren’t invited.
The 36-year-old half-brother Thomas Markle, has once again given an interview where he claims Meghan is a ‘phoney’ who is striving to be liked as much as Princess Diana was.
“She is giving the greatest performance of her life,” Thomas said in a scathing interview with the Daily Mirror.
“She is acting phoney. I’ve read that Meg wants to be like Diana. Diana was worshipped by everyone in the world. She was loved for the right reasons.
“That’s what Meg wants, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. She’s not genuine like Diana.”
Thomas, who lives in Oregan in the US, went on to say that once Meghan made it big in Hollywood she changed and forgot anyone who was in her life before.
It isn’t the first time Thomas – who was charged with the unlawful use of a firearm last year – has publicly spoken out against his estranged half-sister.
Just last weekend he gave an interview to Sunday Night where he claimed Meghan is ‘embarrassed’ of her roots.
“She’s probably embarrassed at some of the stories and accusations and, you know …” he told Melissa Doyle.
“She can’t forget about her family, because .. we’re never gonna go away. We’re always gonna be her family,” he said.
Thomas, who has previously claimed he has no idea why he wasn’t invited to the Windsor Castle wedding of his half-sister and Prince Harry on May 19, went on to say that he’s still proud of her.
“I didn’t even know that we had a falling-out, so I would like to see her again, yeah,” he said.
“I want to give her a hug and tell her how proud I am of her, but, you know, I really have to travel a really long way to do that.”
Back in February, Thomas gave an interview to to In Touch magazine, where he slammed his future royal step-sister for claiming he was “distant family”.
“My lawyer had a phone meeting with her lawyer, and he emailed me some of [Meghan’s] direct words,” Thomas said in the interview.
“She said, ‘That’s distant family and I don’t know those people.’
Thomas, who was 16-years-old and living with Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle senior, when Meghan was born, went on to call it ‘a slap in the face’ and ‘below the belt’.
