'MKR' sisters cop more backlash

Stars of the new season of My Kitchen Rules have opened up about their plastic surgery, and how they've dealt with the vicious public backlash since the show launched this week.

Sisters Jessica Alvial, 31 and Emma Byron, 33, spoke in detail about the exact plastic surgery procedures they've had, and how viewers' taunts have taken an emotional toll.

"There have been a lot of personal attacks about us," Jess explained to New Idea.

"I've had work done and I'm the first person to admit it. I'm all for cosmetic enhancement and if it makes you feel good, then do it."

Jess revealed she'd only had her lips done and believes she hasn't overdone the Botox. But she says some people's reactions and comments have been vicious about her and her sister's looks.

"People say 'Oh she needs a structural engineer for her face,' and 'Those chicks are mutton dressed as lamb,'" she told the outlet.

She also admitted that she's only 31 years old and no matter how much backlash she's received, she's comfortable with her image.

Her sister Emma also feels the same way, saying she looked like a "blowfish" due to a medical drama shortly before filming.

"In the beginning my lips look frigging ginormous because I had contact dermatitis and my lips were literally hanging over half my face," she said.

One viewer went so far to say, "Don't let them near the stove they'll melt," with another adding, "She looks like a puffer fish."

Twitter has been ablaze with nasty comments about the sisters' appearance.
