The Block's Elyse Knowles narrowly avoids wardrobe malfunction

As a successful model, Elyse Knowles knows there’s no playing it safe when it comes to high fashion.

So it was no surprise to see her slip into a rather risky frock for the most fashionable day of the Melbourne Cup racing carnival.

The Block winner arrived at Flemington for Saturday's Derby Day in a daring Paolo Sebastian dress that featured a very sheer skirt.

It was so sheer in fact, that you could see the nude petticoat she was wearing underneath the meshed skirt.

Pulling it off with confidence, Elyse paired the dress with a headpiece from Sydney milliner Suzy O'Rourke, and a gorgeous gold From St Xavier clutch.

Meanwhile her boyfriend and partner in crime Josh Barker was looking just as dapper by her side in a grey suit and bow tie.

After pocketing a whopping half a million dollars and claiming the title of 2017’s The Block winners, Elyse and Josh are about to go through it all again as they put their own home on the market.

But not before they enjoy a little time off at the races first.
