Is this the worst in-flight meal ever?

Airplane food is definitely not something people generally look forward to when flying.

But imagine getting served what this guy did.

A hungry passenger has shared the worst meal we’ve ever seen on Reddit, explaining that he had ordered the ‘Vegetarian Oriental’ meal in advance.

“I booked my flight online and chose the “Vegetarian Oriental” meal. This is what I got,” he wrote.

The word oriental would generally evoke images of stir fry, soup or laksa. So you can imagine his disappointment when he a box of crudités landed on his tray table.

Crudités are traditional French appetizers consisting of sliced or whole raw vegetables which are typically dipped in a vinaigrette or other dipping sauce, not something you would expect to be served as a whole meal.

Unless you were a rabbit of course.

They did stay true to the ‘oriental’ element by adding a stick of Chinese celery, but the passenger said the icing on the cake was dessert.

On the Aegean Airlines flight, every passenger who ordered a non-vegetarian meal was given an extra cookie for dessert.

“I didn’t complain about this yummy dish. But then I realised that all passengers who ordered a non-vegetarian meal got an extra cookie for dessert, so I demanded a cookie and got one,” he wrote.

Some of the responses online were hilarious with many agreeing the meal was definitely a hit and miss.

“It's a DIY Kit,” one person commented.

“Yeah, now request a wok and a gas burner,” another agreed.

At least he got a knife and fork.
