Uma Thurman’s powerful response to Harvey Weinstein scandal

Uma Thurman is the latest celeb to comment on the sexual abuse scandal that has engulfed Hollywood.

The star of Kill Bill gave a powerfully worded response when asked about the situation that has snowballed since Harvey Weinstein was identified as an alleged serial sex predator. Watch it below.

In the video which has since gone viral, Uma appears to agonise over every word and seems visibly upset.

“I don’t have a tidy sound bite for you,” she told Access Hollywood. “Because, I have learned I am not a child, and I have learned that when I’ve spoken in anger I usually regret the way I express myself.”

“So I’ve been waiting to feel less angry," she finished. "And when I am ready, I will say what I have to say.”

Uma has starred in several Weinstein movies, including Kill Bill : Vol 1 & 2 and cult classic Pulp Fiction.

Fans of the star have taken to social media to praise her reaction, with one describing the actress's remarks as giving them "chills."

“Damn straight super smart woman #UMA,” the Twitter user said. “This gives me the chills."



Harvey Weinstein has denied the allegations, which has since opened the flood gates for other stories of abuse to come to light.

Most recently Kevin Spacey has been accused of a string of sexual misconduct claims against young men as well as Entourage star Jeremy Piven who was slammed for apparently grabbed a reality TV star "without asking."

The actress has since taken to Twitter to thank everyone for their "heartwarming" support.
