Friends became concerned when the actor didn’t arrive for rehearsals and was subsequently discovered at his home.

Photos of the actor's home show a bent security gate, showing that the young actor was pinned against the fence with incredible force.

Police do not suspect foul play; instead, it appears the actor exited his car while leaving his home, leaving his Jeep Grand Cherokee in neutral, before it rolled backwards.

Reports have since emerged that certain models of Jeep Grand Cherokee were recalled by Fiat Chrysler earlier this year due to their "rollaway" risk.

It is not yet known whether the actor's car was within the recall group.

The Star Trek star was pronounced dead on the scene, but it is not yet known if he was killed instantly in the tragic accident. A security camera aimed at the security gate may hold answers as to how exactly the incident occurred.
