Can you spot the child in trouble?
A lifeguard has taken mere seconds to react to a girl struggling to swim in a crowded public pool.
But would you have been able to see her amongst all the other swimmers?
A video shared to the Lifeguard Rescue Youtube page this week, shows just how much the lifeguards have to pay attention to what is happening in the water.
In the footage, a wave pool is full of happy swimmers, some floating around in blue pool rings, while others dive underwater.
But while everyone appears to be having fun, a little girl out in the middle of the pool can be seen struggling to keep her head above the waves.
At first she looks like she’s just jumping up and down but it soon becomes clear that she is in danger of drowning.
Within 10 seconds the lifeguard on duty spots her and jumps in to pull her to safety.
Many viewers were impressed by the lifeguard’s quick reaction time.
“Wow. I never would have noticed that one,” one person commented.
“I thought it was gonna be the girl before that. I would have jumped in for her,” another viewer admitted.
“I never would have spotted her, I thought she was just hopping up and down with the waves,” another person wrote.
