Dr Chris Brown trolled after people mistake him for rapper Chris Brown

Bondi Vet's Dr Chris Brown has found himself at the centre of some unwanted attention after being mistaken for the singer of the same name.

The much-loved Aussie star took to Twitter to point out he was NOT in fact the rapper involved in an 11-hour standoff with police earlier today.

"It's days like these where I really resent the choice of name Mr and Mrs Brown made all those years ago," the vet tweeted light-heartedly.

One Facebook user cheekily shared a photo of the AUSTRALIAN Chris Brown hugging puppies and joked: "Don't let pictures deceive you..."

Earlier today Chris Brown (the singer) was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after being involved in a police standoff for 11 hours outside his LA mansion.

Police have just held a press conference confirming the singer has been arrested and is being transported to a jail downtown, where he could possibly be charged.

The incident occurred after beauty queen Baylee Curran called the police claiming the rapper had pointed a gun at her head.

Chris's alleged victim Baylee has claimed the trouble started when she admired a piece of his jewellery.

“Chris just started at it, how many times do I have to tell you girls. He pulled out his gun and pointed it at me, that was pretty much it. They tried getting me to sign a waiver after,” she told TMZ.

The report says she tried to leave, but the rapper's entourage wouldn’t let her take her cell phone until she signed a non-disclosure agreement. She refused to sign, and she and her friend left before they called the police.

Chris reportedly refused to leave his home after police and a SWAT team arrived, and posted videos of himself on Instagram, saying: "f**** the police."
