Kylie and Kendall pull t-shirt line after legal action
Kendall and Kylie Jenner are facing legal action from the estate of late rapper Notorious B.I.G. amid increasing backlash over their latest t-shirt line.
The youngest siblings from the Kardashian-Jenner clan were flogging the shirts for $125 but have ceased sales on their limited-edition collection that featured their faces printed over vintage band tees.
Kylie and Kendall were slammed on social media and even Biggie's mother, Voletta Walace, who accused the reality stars of being "disrespectful" for trying to make money from her deceased son's image.
Critics accused the sisters of cashing in on the images of another late rapper Tupac, as well as rock legends Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Kiss, The Doors and Pink Floyd.
Biggie's mum took to Instagram to slam the girls, labelling them as "disrespectful and disgusting", adding Biggie's estate did not give any permission to use the images and they were "exploiting" his 1997 death.
"I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this," Voletta's post read.
"The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me. I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my son Christopher to sell a T-shirt. This is disrespectful, disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!!! [sic]"

According to TMZ, Biggie's estate's lawyer Julian K. Petty issued the sisters with a cease and desist letter, giving them until 5pm Friday to stop selling the shirt or face further legal action.
"This is misappropriation at its finest. I’m curious to hear the justification. I’m even more curious to hear the proposed resolution," the lawyer told the outlet.
While the shirts first went on sale on Tuesday (US time), by Thursday the pricey tees that featured Biggie and Tupac had been removed from their online store.
Meanwhile Ozzy's wife Sharon Osbourne also slammed the collection, taking to Twitter to write: "Girls, you haven’t earned the right to put your face with musical icons. Stick to what you know … lip gloss."
Ouch.
The sisters have since taken to Twitter to apologise for their error, tweeting a statement saying they would use the "opportunity to learn from these mistakes again".
