The 26-year-old and rugby league husband Nate shared the happy news at the beginning of August that they were expecting their first baby.

The joyous news comes three years after the actress overcame Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

The couple tied the knot in 2011, with Nate standing by Tessa's side after she was diagnosed with cancer at just age 23.

Tessa underwent chemotherapy to treat the Hodgkin's lymphoma, and last year spoke about how she had to dig deep and find inner strength to overcome the disease.

"I hit a point where I didn't know what I was doing, why I was here, what was happening, where my life was going," Tessa told the Sydney Morning Herald at the time.

"I thought I knew. I was 23, and all this bad stuff was happening. I tried to spiritually find why. I got through it because I had to get through it,” she told the publication.
