Harvey Weinstein is hoping to win back his wife

Harvey Weinstein has made a desperate attempt at getting his estranged wife back.

The "devastated" movie mogul's other half, Georgina Chapman, publicly left Weinstein after an avalanche of sexual assault allegations were made against him, but Harvey has revealed he's hoping to win her back.

Talking to Page Six, the 65-year-old film producer made a public plea to win his wife back, telling the publication he was "heartbroken" by his wife of ten year's decision to walk away from him.

"I truly love Georgina, and I hope one day we can reconcile," he said. "Although right now, I don't know if that could possibly happen."

The pair, who share two children together, India Pearl, 7, and four-year-old Dashiell Max Robert, have been separated by the sex scandal that has surrounded their family, after a newspaper published a report that claimed Weinstein had been abusing women for 30 years.

"I know she has to do what is best for the children, for herself and her business, she employs 130 people," the disgraced film producer went on. "I don’t want her or my children to be hurt any more than they already have."

Georgina, 41, however appears to have sided with the numerous women who claim they have been assaulted by her hubby.

“My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions," the fashion designer said in a statement to People Magazine.

"I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time”.

Since last Friday, a mounting number of women have come forward to say they've been assaulted by Weinstein, including huge Hollywood actresses Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cara Delevigne and Heather Graham.

Despite initially issuing a statement that apologised for 'pain' caused, Harvey Weinstein denies the allegations.
