Margot Robbie's dramatic I, Tonya transformation
She's already creating Oscar buzz and it's not hard to see why, with Margot Robbie's dramatic transformation in I, Tonya making her a contender for Hollywood's highest honour.
The full trailer for the black comedy about the infamous figure ice-skater has dropped and while we're used to seeing the 27-year-old glamourous on the red carpet, Margot is almost unrecognisable in her upcoming flick. Watch the trailer in the clip above.
The Wolf Of Wall Street star portrays Olympic figure skater Tonya Harding in the biopic, and is seen in a a teal coloured leotard and tights as she glides across the ice in the new trailer.
Directed by Craig Gillespie, the film follows the real-life rivalry between Tonya and fellow US skater, Nancy Kerrigan and the memorable 1994 incident when Tonya's ex-husband tried to sabotage Nancy's chances at the Winter Olympics.
Margot has previously spoken about what it took to transform into Tonya, saying she was reduced to tears while filming.
The rigorous training schedule required her to train for five days a week for four months.
"I kept my ice skates – but I said goodbye to a whole work of pain that I didn’t realise came along with figure skating," she recently told W Magazine.
When it came down to training, her choreographer never had any sympathy to offer her but when Margot had a "real skater fall" she was allowed "a minute".
"I was so proud, with tears streaming down my face."
