Ansel Elgort slams 'shocking' co-star Kevin Spacey
Ansel Elgort has slammed his Baby Driver co-star Kevin Spacey, calling his alleged predatory behaviour "shocking".
While the actor was at the GQ Men of the Year awards in Sydney on Wednesday night, the 23-year-old expressed his thoughts about the allegations surrounding Spacey to News Corp.
"The whole thing is really shocking," he told the publication. "And I think what’s happening right now in the industry is people are standing up and saying that certain ways of the industry are no longer acceptable or in life in general."
"The world should be a safer place where sexual harassment is not acceptable," he added.
Ansel looked dapper in a tuxedo while he attended the event accompanied by his girlfriend Violetta Komyshan, 21, wearing a gorgeous satin red gown.
Last month, Spacey was accused of sexual misconduct in 1986, by actor Anthony Rapp, who was 14 at the time.
The House of Cards actor initially issued an apology in which he also publicly came out as gay for the first time, aged 58.
But a string of other men also came forward with claims of their own, including a British barman who said Spacey tried to "silence" him by giving him a swanky watch.
The backlash from the allegations has been huge, with Spacey's Netflix show being axed and the star stating he's seeking "evaluation and treatment."
Spacey is one of many in Hollywood who have been accused of inappropriate sexual behaviour in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
