Glee star Naya Rivera charged with domestic battery

Former Glee star Naya Rivera was arrested on Saturday night for allegedly assaulting her husband Ryan Dorsey.

The 30-year-old was charged with misdemeanour domestic battery on Sunday, WCHS reported.

The outlet reports the actress is accused of striking Dorsey in the head.

The pair are said to have been arguing over their two-year-old son, Josey, while out for a walk in Chesapeake, Virginia, according to a criminal complaint.

Dorsey provided the authorities with a mobile phone video of the alleged incident.

Rivera was eventually released on bond and was collected by her father-in-law.

The couple married in 2014 but Rivera filed for divorce in November last year.

However, according to People magazine, the pair called off their separation last month.
