Katie Price walks off set crying on live TV

Katie Price walked off screen during an emotional live TV interview that became too much for the former model.

The British personality broke down whilst appearing as part of the panel on Loose Women when talking about her mum, Amy, who is terminally ill with the lung condition idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

“IPA isn’t well known and there should be more awareness because once you’re diagnosed, it’s too late," she said through her tears. "It’s an incurable lung disease — no one knows how you get it."

Katie - who shares two kids with her Aussie ex, Peter Andre - was on the chat show to discuss UK comedian Keith Chegwin, who passed away this week from the same condition.

But not long into the segment, she found herself overwhelmed.

“The thing is my mum is going to die..." Katie, 39, wept. "I just don’t want her to die.”

As her fellow panelists tried to console her, Katie put her head in her hands and wiped her face with the sleeves of her jumper.

Viewers rushed to console the star, sending their well-wishes on Twitter.

Katie went on to explain that she agreed to talk about her mum's deteriorating condition to try and raise awareness, explaining her mum had a cough for five years before being diagnosed.

"She’s so healthy, never smoked, she works out all the time…" the mum-of-five said. "I just want to raise awareness."

As she expressed her fear that this would be their last Christmas together, her emotions got the better of Katie and she ran off screen crying.
