The Amazon ad that ruined Christmas
An ad by online retail giant Amazon has been slammed by parents for potentially ‘ruining’ Christmas for young children everywhere.
Remember when you first found out that Santa wasn’t the one bringing you presents on Christmas? Was it while you were watching TV with your parents?
That’s what the latest seasonal television advertisement by Amazon has been accused of doing by outraged parents online.
The ad features a dad carrying a bunch of parcels into his home, and proceeding to hide behind a door as his kids run by before sneaking upstairs to hide the presents.
Since it started airing, Twitter has erupted with parents slamming the online retailer for basically bursting every child’s Christmas bubble.
“Have you just spoilt the Christmas spirit for children with your advert, well anything to get a sale,” one person tweeted.

@amazon well done! You officially have this year's worst Christmas advert! Last year's was really good too. And it should be Santa in the ads!

Well done! You officially have this year's worst Christmas advert! It should be Santa in the ads,” another wrote.
Amazon were quick to respond and try and calm the situation.
“Father Christmas and his elves are no doubt working around the clock to get presents to girls and boys around the world,” a spokesperson told CNET.
“These are just a few extras to give a little love from parents.”
