Ivanka Trump’s secret nickname revealed

As one of her father Donald Trump’s top advisors, you would think Ivanka Trump would command respect and authority around the White House.

A damning Vanity Fair piece on the President’s daughter claims otherwise, detailing how some White House aides have a very special nickname for Trump's beloved daughter.

In a story titled “Exiles on Pennsylvania Avenue: how Jared and Ivanka were repelled by Washington’s elite,” it’s revealed how an incident at a July meeting of the G-20 in Germany saw critics outraged when Ivanka briefly took the place of President Trump at the conference table.

Ivanka took a seat between British Prime Minister Theresa May and the Chinese president, Xi Jinpin, and while it wasn’t “abnormal” for a delegate to take the place of a world leader, the protocol breach most certainly wasn’t appreciated by some.

“Excuse me,” one former Trump adviser explained to Vanity Fair. “This is not a royal family, and she’s not the princess royal.”

The article then goes on to explain how the nickname stuck, with Ivanka copping the “princess royal” label by certain White House advisors – but “never to her face”.

“What is off-putting about [Ivanka and husband Jared],” one source is quoted as saying, “is they do not grasp their essential irrelevance. They think they are special.”

This isn’t the first time the first family have had their secrets exposed by the publication.

In May, Vanity Fair published a piece titled “Inside the Trump marriage: Melania’s burden, which among other bombshell allegations, claimed that Donald forced Melania into a baby contract allowing her to fall pregnant, so long as the former model got her body back.

The story also highlighted how Melania’s absence in the spotlight saw Ivanka step into a more public role, but it’s taken its toll on the women’s relationship, with sources observing "a frostiness between the two”.
