Meghan's sister hits back at Harry's claim royals were 'the family she never had'
Meghan Markle’s sister has lashed out at Prince Harry after he said the royals were the family his fiancée “never had”.
Samantha Markle has hit back at the Prince, who opened up about Meghan’s first Christmas with his family on BBC Radio 4 this week.
Taking to Twitter to voice her frustrations, Samantha, who is related to Meghan through their father Thomas, said she has a large family who were “always there with her and for her”.
“Our household was very normal and when dad and Doria divorced, we all made it so it was like she had two houses,” she wrote.
“No one was estranged, she was just too busy.”

She goes on to explain how Meghan has a sister, brother, aunts, uncles and cousins, and her marriage will only extend her family.
“She has a large family. She always did. Our dad is amazing and completely self-sacrificing.”
It comes after the former Suits actress broke years of tradition by attending the royal family's Christmas before officially becoming part of the family.

Harry spoke about how well she was fitting in, telling BBC host Sarah Montague that his family “loved having her there”.
"She's getting in there and it's the family I suppose that she's never had," the 33-year-old said.
"There's always that family part of Christmas where there's always that work element there as well, and I think together we had an amazing time."
Meghan's parents, mum Doria Ragland, 61, and dad Thomas Markle Sr, 73, divorced in 1987.
Based in Florida, Samantha is 17 years older than Meghan and has been very outspoken their relationship went public.
In interviews she has described her half-sister as a 'shallow social climber' and claimed she shunned her family since making it in Hollywood.
Samantha is also rumoured to be writing a 'slamming tell-all' book, called The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister.
