Was Ryan paid to be Bachelorette villain?
He's been raising eyebrows since his overly confident introduction to our Bachelorette, Sophie Monk.
Now there are sensational claims that Ryan Jones is being paid extra by Channel Ten to be this year's villian.
Talking to the Daily Mail, a source close to the construction worker has claimed he's been paid "twice" that of other contestants to "compensate" for his guaranteed early exit.
"He will probably be on the show for a very short time, and is required to stir the pot amongst the other suitors," the source told the publication.
As well as coming across forcefully with Sophie when he first stepped out of his limo, Ryan also left the other contestants furious when he whisked her away for a one-on-one chat before she'd had a chance to address the group.

"I do remember them specifically mentioning he may have to be the villain though for him to get on," the insider went on, alleging producers reached out to Ryan when they were auditioning.
If these explosive claims are true, it would mean that Ryan's controversial antics were all scripted and part of a plan to cause drama.
