The worries Elyse Taylor has for her daughter

When you’re a parent, you’re always going to worry about your children.

But in the new age of technology, it’s changed the game for kids having access to everything at the tip of their fingers.

Australian model Elyse Taylor admitted she has very real worries about her four-year-old daughter, Lila, growing up in the age of social media, and the societal pressures that can occur when it comes to beauty.

“[Instagram] is so in your face,” she admitted in a recent interview with Be. “I’m also raising my daughter in New York – I feel 10 steps in front of every other city.”

The 31-year-old simply tries to make sure she is across everything in order to be able to educate her daughter.

“For me, it’s just trying to stay up-to-date with things as well and educating myself and just reinforcing things at home and values that matter,” she explained.

“It’s about being healthy, being professional and enhancing who you are as a person.”

The model encourages all women, especially young girls, to embrace their natural beauty.

“With young girls nowadays they’re so into that Kardashian look, like, changing your face,” Elyse said. “I think it’s more about enhancing your beauty and who you are versus like creating 700 layers of makeup.”

In terms of her own makeup and beauty routine, Elyse keeps it natural and simple and that’s what the model kept in mind when creating her new Nude By Nature lip collection.

“The colours [of the new collection] aren’t so in your face you feel like you should be in a club,” she told Be.

The model kept in mind the six lipstick, lip gloss and lip liner shades to be wearable for anytime of day, even better they’re 100% natural
