Woman’s hilarious car insurance claim fail
A teacher has mistakenly sent photos of herself to a car insurance company rather than her vehicle in what could be the biggest blonde moment ever.
Alyssa Stringfellow, 25, was asked to take front and side profile photographs - of her car - before her new insurance could be completed.
But she misunderstood and instead posed for photos of herself before sending them to her insurer.
"I was insuring myself on my grandmother's car insurance,” Alyssa, from Arkansas, US, says.
“The insurance company rang her with the details I needed and their email address.
"This included my driver's license number, my date of birth, and a picture straight on and a picture taken from each side.”
But instead, Alyssa was left red faced after she realised the mistake and quickly sent across the correct images of the car.
"The guy from the insurance company rang laughing his head off after he received my email,” she says.
"I was totally embarrassed and mortified that his entire office had seen my photos.
"I did think it was strange that he wanted photos of me but I just thought he must need them to identify who I was.”
She even had a good laugh with her grandma Carolyn and hopes others get some enjoyment out of her ‘blonde moment’ as well.
"My grandmother was like, 'he's insuring the car not you,' and we've all laughed about it since,” she says.
"It was such a blonde moment but it has given so many people a laugh that I don't care anymore."
