Meghan and Harry 'to adopt kids from around the world'

They’re set to tie the knot in a lavish ceremony in May but it seems Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are already thinking far past their wedding day.

The 33-year-old prince and his 36-year-old former Suits actress fiancé are reportedly considering adopting “kids from around the world”, according to New Idea.

Indeed, the loved-up couple are staunch supporters of numerous charities and it’s been claimed Meghan wants to follow in Angelina Jolie’s footsteps, who has famously adopted three times.

“Meghan sees Angelina Jolie as a huge inspiration and the perfect example of a woman who balances family, work and charity drives,” an insider previously told The Mirror.

“She has often spoken about how she’s impressed with her.”

Back in April last year, Prince Harry spoke about his desire for children in a candid interview with the Telegraph, saying he believed he was in the right place in his life to start a family.

“Of course, I would love to have kids,” he said.

He also spoke about his relationship with his adorable niece and nephew, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, saying he enjoys playing video games with them.

“I’d like to think [I’m a pretty awesome godfather], I think the key is to grow up but also stay in touch with your childhood side,” he said.

“And if that means going to someone’s house and playing Playstation and kicking the ass of their son on Counter-Strike or Halo or whatever it is, then I’ll try and do that!”

Meghan has previously said that she “can't wait to start a family, but in due time," in an April 2016 interview with Best Health Canada, just months before she confirmed her romance with the prince.

During their official BBC interview after their engagement was announced, Harry and Meghan hinted that their thoughts were already on starting a family.

When the interviewer asked, “Children?”, Harry responded with "Not currently no,” before adding, "one step at a time and hopefully we'll start a family in the near future."
